Iron Fist 8 was bombed by a bad player because of the third season update and the official commitment to repair it urgently.
The Iron Fist 8 development team has recently issued a statement committing itself to responding to the “defeated bombing” of numerous Steam players. Over the past week, hundreds of Iron Fist fans have expressed their dissatisfaction through the Steam Evaluation and Feedback System, and the recent evaluation of the game in Steam has fallen to “most of the worst”. The development team disclosed that “over 700” feedback reports had been received and were being reviewed at first instance.

The problem seems to arise, although the team assured the community that it would receive feedback and “go back to where it came from”, some of the players felt that the third season was “increased in all its aspects, exacerbating the problems that the player was already ill”. The players pointed out that “the balance change is not justified, and the official claim to be focused on moving the game towards a certain goal is contrary to the actual renewal, with the result that Iron Fist 8 became one of the worst hand games of all these years.” The third season was the last straw to crush the camel, a Steam player concluding. “It is clear that the concept of balance is no longer focused on competitive fairness or player satisfaction. Every big update feels against the wishes of the players. There are more and better combat games on the market, and they really respect the time and feedback of players.”

In a statement issued earlier, the development team wrote: “In Ver.3.0.00, we have made a number of adjustments aimed at maintaining the individual character of each role, while reducing excessive returns, particularly from `Heat’ thermal systems and role-specific enhancements, in order to improve overall balance. However, we are aware that the expected experience of war has not met the expectations.” In the future, we will continue to pursue a war experience of balancing our fight with a heat system to enable players to make meaningful psychological games and tactical decisions. While maintaining the reorientation of Ver.3.0.00, we will continue to address the remaining issues of excessive or unbalanced returns. These issues will be gradually improved by gradually repairing individual behaviours and adjusting game performance.”

“Emergency patches” will be released in the near future, with a focus on “rehabilitating critical gaps and undesired behaviour” and “the highest priority issues will be addressed on the basis of feedback received through the official Iron Fist feedback channel, and response priorities will be determined by reference to the level of community response within the official Discord server”. Adjustments to combat systems and role performance will be based on an “integrated assessment, including portal submissions”, and teams will also make it easier for players to identify and report on combat and system problems through additional feedback categories (i.e., combat and system-related requests). The development team added: “We are currently assessing priorities, while considering repairing loopholes, adjusting behaviour that leads to excessive returns and debugging performance around heat systems. Short-term fixable repairs will be implemented sequentially, while the more significant changes will be introduced gradually through each update after full validation.”

Ver. 3.00.00, Iron Fist 8, will be released in mid-April, with a focus on “Sequenced review and treatment of other issues and behaviours”, version 3.01 is planned for the second quarter of this year. In December of last year, Shinhiro Harada, Father of Iron Fist, announced his departure from the series of producers who had participated in the development of the Iron Fist game and had served in the Iron Fist studio for 30 years. In his statement, he said that the death of a close friend and the retirement or death of a senior colleague had allowed him to reflect on the time he had left as a creator.
