90% of hand-travel developers consider introducing loyalty and reward systems to enhance player retention
A recent survey conducted by Atomik Research found that 90 per cent of developers had considered the implementation of in-play loyalty and incentive systems to increase user retention and participation.

The respondents were 195 advanced mobile game developers from the United States and the United Kingdom. The results show that 31 per cent of participants are actively testing such systems as a solution and 38 per cent of respondents are now planning to integrate them into their own games.
Forty-three per cent of respondents expected that, over the next 12 to 24 months, the game reward/loyalty system would maximize the promotion of player retention and participation.
Forty-five per cent of respondents felt that a more personalized player (AI-driven orientation or subdivision tool) was the most promising player interaction and retention solution for the same period, while 37 per cent chose to strengthen collaboration between profit and marketing teams.

More than half (51 per cent) of the respondents noted that balancing realization frictions and interesting player experiences were the most painful points for players to retain.
Fifty per cent of respondents indicated that their studios had increased the client retention and re-interactive budget over the past year, while 42 per cent of respondents had maintained the budget.
