EEA works with Stability AI to advance the process of the development of AI
The world’s leading independent, multi-modular AI company, Stability AI, and the game giant EA, announced strategic collaboration to help EA artists, designers and developers redesign the game production approach by developing a transformative, generating AI megamodel, tools and workstream.

In its press release, Stability AI stressed that the collaboration would combine the leadership of EA in the interactive entertainment industry with the unmatched technical expertise of Stability AI in the generation of AI, and the development of an entirely new creative frontier that would reshape the design, development and delivery model of the EEA global game experience. Prem Akkaraju, Chief Executive Officer of Stability AI, said: “EA is a pioneer in the field of interactive entertainment, knowing that innovation begins with creators. We have always focused on creators and built solutions around their specific needs. By embedding our 3D research team directly into the work processes of EA artists and developers, we will release a whole new layer of world build capacity. Such breakthroughs can only be achieved through deep cooperation between scientists and creators. EA emphasizes that humanity will remain at the heart of narrative creation, but “we are renewing the way we work to make AI a trusted ally: supporting faster iterativeism, expanding creative possibilities, accelerating work processes, and allowing teams to focus more on the most important things — world-class play and entertainment experiences for large online communities”. The company added that AI was “capable of drafting, generating and analysing, but unable to imagine, communicate or dream, and these have always been the exclusive domain of excellent EA artists, designers, developers, reporters and innovators”.

EA CEO Andrew Wilson had previously highly evaluated AI technology, which last year stated was at the heart of the company’s operations. AI’s future or deeper embedding in EA operations: According to the Financial Times, the investment consortium that intends to privatize EA is focusing on AI applications and “investor bets on AI-based cost reductions will significantly increase EA profits in the coming years”. EA is not the only gamer who has stepped up the application of AI, and Krafton, the developer of Jedi Survival, has recently announced a substantial increase in AI input as an important component of the “AI priority” strategy. According to EA, the first cooperation projects between the two parties included “Accelerating the creation of PBR-based materials through the development of new artist-driven workstreams — for example, the development of 2D texture tools that can produce precision colour and light retention in any environment”. In particular, Stability AI notes that the two companies will also “commit to the development of an AI system that prediscovers the entire 3D environment based on a series of targeted alerts, so that artists can direct the content of the game creatively at unparalleled speed and progress”.

Stability AI stated that this collaboration confirmed its strategic commitment to building an AI solution with leaders in the play, marketing and music and entertainment industries, helping businesses to scale up creative production and achieve real business results through the generation of AI. In collaboration with innovative enterprises such as EA, WPP and others, Stability AI is working with professional tools and workflows to change the visual media, helping creative teams to speed up the creative process while safeguarding quality and control.
